I was "certain" that I was going to ruin this cap when I started with my black permanent pen's first stroke. I had purchased it over a month ago desiring to add zentangles to it. Finally I took a deep breath, let go of my certainty and started drawing. I like how it turned out.

Yesterday, Bob and I were working in the yard and a snake slithered across the grass in front of me then under a bush. It was dark gray with a yellow stripe.

I have searched the internet trying to discover what kind of snake it is, but haven't found one that looks like it. If you know, please let me know.

We spent most of the day, in the yard. We moved our smoke bush from the back yard to the front hard. It wasn't "smoking" because it didn't get enough sun. Hopefully it will love the new location and "smoke" for us.

Today is my brother's birday and this is the card I made for him. The cat clock is a replica of the one we had on our bedroom wall when we were kids. Yes, we shared a bedroom. We had trundle beds and I slept on the top bed and Larry slept on the lower bed. The clock was really noisy, but comforting in some ways. It also would drown out the sound of the outside since we didn't have central air. I can also remember that sometimes we would put our beds on the opposite side of the bedroom and put a rope down the center of the room so each of us had our own space. His side was always the messy side!

Zentangle by my granddaughter

Yesterday, while Breanna was visiting I very quickly showed her how to make a zentangle. When she left she asked about what kind of pen and she needed to make zentangles. So, as any grandmother would do, I sent her home with the micron pen needed for drawing zentangles. About an half hour later, she texted me and sent me the above photo (fuzzy since it was via text) of her very first zentangle. Chip off the ole block - huh!

Zentangle Card & quote

Worry can sometimes be an unwanted companion for some of us. When I found this rubber stamp I just knew I had to buy it and make a card with it. Today seemed like the day, so I created a background of zentangle designs and added the quote. For those of you who, like me tend to forget how worry doesn't solve problems, this card is for you.
