Ravelry Knitting Swap for Februay

The theme for this month was "a Country".  My swap partner this month mentioned that she'd always liked Paris, so I went with a French theme.  The package is now on it's way to "Pearlglory" in Michigan.

This is Joy

My friend Judy gave me this beautiful American Girl Doll.  I've named her Joy because it's such a joy to have a doll as an adult.  My Mother loved dolls and she passed that love on to me.  As a child I had a lot of dolls and my mother made lots and lots of doll clothes for them.  One Christmas my Uncle Robert even made a doll closet for me converting an old TV cabinet.  Of course growing up in the 1950's this was pre-Barbie days.  I had Terry Lee Dolls and a Revlon Doll (which I still have).  My Terry Lee dolls went "missing" while I lived on Sherwood Drive.  Oh, how I wish I still had those as well.

American Girl Doll Sweaters

Made these from yarn leftovers in my stash of yarn.  They were quick and easy to make.

My first post

"Blogging" is somewhat confusing to me - but I'm giving it a try.   Montday was Valentine's Day and last week I made over 30 cards to send out to family and friends.
