Challenge 84, quote, tangle pattern Dazl

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.
Luther Burbank

This weeks challenge from The Diva was to close your eyes and draw your "string" and create a zentangle from the string.  When  I drew mine (above) I finally turned it upside down before I "saw" the beginnings of a cart - and I went from there.  The wheels of the cart are my own tangle pattern called "Dazl" which is posted under tangle patterns here on my blog.

Zendala Dare, quote

"Nobody has ever measured how much a heart can hold."   -Zelda Fitzgerald

Another Friday - already!  The zendala dare this week by The Bright Owl blog is to create the zendala using tangle patterns starting with the letters L-O-V-E.

These are the patterns I used in my zendala:

Lacy (in the corners)
Onamito (in the hearts)
Vortex (in the circles)
Emingle (in the background)

All the tangle patterns can be found in the website "TanglePatterns.com" and there's a direct link here on my blog.

Zendala Challenge #6, quote

Beauty is being in harmony with what you are.
Peter Nivio Zarlenga

For the Zendala Challenge this week, I decided to toot my own horn, so to speak and design it around my tangle pattern which I call Dazl.

Itsy Twisty - a new tangle pattern

What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts to each new twist of fate.
Donald Trump

These two zentangle drawings both feature the new tangle I just designed called "Itsy Twisty".

Here's how to draw Itsy Twisty:

This design came to me while I was making a greeting card as I was embellishing it with buttons sewn on with ribbon.

New tangle pattern

Recently, while browsing through fabric and laces at the fabric store, I saw a piece of delicate lace with small eyelet loops.   This tangle design is very easy, using small letter e's up the sides of the triangles and across the bottom.  Adding o's as the eyelets, and drawing the mesh inside the triangles.  I've named it
E-E-O because of the simplicity of the design.   Also, here's my tangle tile using the new E-E-O tangle:

New zentangle patterns & Challenge 53 and of course a daily quote

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is."  - Oscar Wilde

The Diva's challenge this week was to include her new zentangle pattern called "undine".

I have also added to my design the zentangle pattern I created called "serpentine".

New tangle pattern - DAZL

Today, I created a new tangle pattern which I've named "Dazl".   While drawing a new string for a zentangle square, I drew a circle.  When searching for an existing tangle pattern to draw in the circle, I couldn't find one that I really wanted to add to the tile.  So, I started drawing within the circle and came up with Dazl.  I've also included an adaptation which can be used for borders.   No particular thing or item really influenced the design, it just seemed to "happen" as I drew.
