Cat quilted wallhanging, quote

"Time spent with cats is never wasted."  ~May Sarton

Recently, my friend Jan gave me a new sign (in the photo above) saying that "cats are like potato chips, you can'd have just one.   Her gift inspired me to search out some fabrics from my stash with cats and kittens, which turned into this new quilted wall-hanging.  The little cat statue on the shelf came from the Goodwill store.

Here's our cats; Tommy is the red tabby and Roxy is the tortise tabby.  They add such delight to our home!

A little drink of water!

"In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats.

Tommy decided that he was thirsty and Bob's drinking glass was right where it was convenient!

Purple zentangle challenge, Tommy & Bob

"The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love color the most."

-John Ruskin

The Diva's challenge this week is to use purple.  It could be purple background, purple ink, etc.
I decided to experiment with some Adirondack color wash ink.  I sprayed it on my watercolor tile, then spread it with a paper towel.  Afterwards, adding my tangle patterns.

On this tile, I used Stampa Rosa's Silk Iridescent Ink and painted a purple heart, then added my tangle patterns.

This tile was spritzed with the Adirondack color wash, then I added the tangle patterns.

Last evening, Bob and I decided to work a puzzle - we hadn't done so in years.  After we started, Tommy wanted to be a part of our activities.   His actions certainly reflect yesterday's quote:   "If a cat spoke, it would say things like Hey, I don't see the problem here. "

Roxy and quote of the day.

"If a cat spoke, it would say things like Hey, I don't see the problem here".

-Roy Blount, Jr.

This is Roxy - she definately didn't see a problem with her location and let me know she felt that way!
