Quote, The Diva's challenge

"It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul."    -William Ernest Henley

Another Monday, another challenge from The Diva; use the pattern cadent and variations.  Cadent is one of my favorite tangle patterns!   Here's my challenge:

What a great tile! I love the shield-type thing:)

This is such a perfect response to the challenge. Cadent has always reminded me of a banner or scroll. I always think of a medieval crier unfurling a scroll and calling out, "Hear ye, hear ye, the king proclaims Tuesday Zentangle Day thoughout the kingdom" or some such thing. So the coat of armor is a fabulous use of cadent.

Oh this one reminds me of a family crest. So regal!

So well done. I too like the crest and I like the pattern behind everything on the left side.
